An impressive German dramatic thriller filmed all in one shot.
After a night of dancing at a club, Victoria, a young Spanish woman living in Berlin, hooks up with Sonne and his "real Berliner" friends, who offer to show her a nice time in their city at the end of the night. But just as she is about ready to part with them after a somewhat intimate exchange with Sonne, the shady background of one of the guys draws them all in a series of "one thing leads to another" situations.
The film's prowess lays in the fact that it is all shot in a single 140-minute dazzling take, with all the cast's dialogues mostly improvised, but the performance of the main character and her chemistry with Sonne also make Victoria a movie that manages to overwhelm in ways that few do.
Plot summary from IMDb: A young Spanish woman who has newly moved to Berlin finds her flirtation with a local guy turn potentially deadly as their night out with his friends reveals a dangerous secret.
Awards: 11 wins & 14 nominations.
