Friends Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice take found-footage someplace new and terribly upsetting, proving that the genre can still do the trick.
An amateur filmmaker responds to an ad on Craigslist that will pay him $1,000 for a one-day job, to film a day in the life of a man who wants to make a video testament for his yet to be born son, as he is suffering from a terminal illness. After driving up to the man's cabin and meeting him, he starts filming, but he soon realizes that there might be something not quite right about his employer, and things start to get weird.
The film only has two characters in it, the videographer played by director Patrick Brice, and his weirdo employer, played by Duplass (Safety Not Guaranteed, The One I Love), on a script that the two wrote together. As found-footage films go, this is one that keeps it simple but still manages to make for a pretty intense and unforgettable experience.
Plot summary from IMDb: When a videographer answers a Craigslist ad for a one-day job in a remote mountain town, he finds his client is not at all what he initially seems.
