A painfully bitter slice of British realism, written and directed by actor Paddy Considine.
The film centers around Joseph (Peter Mullan), a self-destructive drinker whose life's a complete mess after losing his wife, who develops an uneasy relationship with Hannah (Olivia Colman), a quiet and good-natured Christian charity shop worker who is married to an abusive husband.
With amazing performances from the cast and a very human story, Tyrannosaur is a powerful and affecting drama that demands to be seen, also marking the directorial debut of Paddy Considine, who turns out to a director worth keeping an eye on.
