After killing the murderer of his wife and son, an ex-soldier Danish settler in the 1870's American West (Mikkelsen), unleashes the fury of a notorious gang leader (Dean Morgan) hell-bent on hunting him down. Left helpless and alone against the outlaw gang, who pressures the cowering townsfolk to give him up, the man has fend for himself and find justice on his own.
Exploding with eye-popping action, dazzlingly dramatic frontier landscapes, brilliantly paying homage to the the classic Western filmmakers (like Sergio Leone or John Ford), and a smoldering performance by Eva Green, who plays a scarred and steely mute, acting with her eyes alone, The Salvation is a rip-roaring, blood-spattered saga of sin and redemption.
