A young stranger rides into a remote mountain village, asking for shelter for the winter. Presenting himself as a photographer, the townsfolk do not take kindly to him. After two sons of the community's patriarch die in mysterious accidents, it becomes clear it's not a coincidence, and that the visitor carries a secret with him.
The Dark Valley (Das finstere Tal) is a beautifully filmed revenge flick, set to the backdrop of the most astonishing alpine winter scenery, with top-notch acting by the whole cast, and definitely a must-see for all true fans of Westerns.
Plot summary from IMDb: Through a hidden path a lone rider reaches a little town high up in the Alpes. Nobody knows where the stranger comes from, nor what he wants there. But everyone knows that they don't want him to stay.
