"To save the future he must reshape the past."

In case you want to experience the "Terminator paradox" on steroids or simply just want your head messed with to the extreme, this is the time travel flick you'll want to see.

Ethan Hawke plays a "temporal agent" sent in time to stop crimes before they happen, who, on his final assignment, must stop a criminal that keeps eluding him throughout time, from carrying out a devastating attack in which thousands of lives will be lost. We see him tending bar in 1970's New York City, where/when he meets a very androgynous-looking man who starts telling him his bizzare story that involves tragic romance, a mysterious stranger, a missing baby and an involuntary gender reassignment surgery. And from here, things start to get strange.

Closely based on sci-fi writer Robert A. Heinlein's 1959 short story All You Zombies, with an oustanding performance from its lead, Eathan Hawke, Predestination is a stylish time-travel film that explores the paradoxical nature of time travel. Its intricate chronology of events takes the viewer through multiple twists of fate, as the story’s tragic key character is gradually revealed to be trapped within a closed loop in time.

Plot summary from IMDb: PREDESTINATION chronicles the life of a Temporal Agent sent on an intricate series of time-travel journeys designed to ensure the continuation of his law enforcement career for all eternity. Now, on his final assignment, the Agent must pursue the one criminal that has eluded him throughout time.
