Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara star in this Bonnie and Clyde-esque drama set in the gritty landscape of 1970s Texas Hill Country.

After his pregnant young wife Ruth (Mara) accidentally shoots a police officer (Ben Foster) during a bloody shootout, Bob (Affleck) faces a 25-year sentence for taking the blame for the unfortunate incident. While Bob escapes from prison, setting out across Texas to reunite with his wife and the daughter he has never met, officer Patrick Wheeler (Foster), unaware of the fact that Ruth is actually the one who shot him, seems to become interested in her and her young child.

Shot with a hypnotic cinematography that clearly takes from the earlier films of Terrence Malick, with great performances from its young cast, Ain't Them Bodies Saints is an mystery-filled tale of love and desperation from a couple making ends meet.
